Documentary filmmaker, writer, and music producer
Jayne McKay spends hours sitting at a computer. She
credits her yoga practice for keeping her inspired, focused, playful, and flexible. To celebrate Thanksgiving, Jayne will be enjoying an early hike while being
mindful of all that she’s grateful for in life. After baking
holiday treats, she joins family and friends for a potluck celebration filled with many delicious and diverse
dishes and blessings.
SIVA MOHAN, MD, MPH
Dr. Siva Mohan is an Ayurvedic expert specializing in
integration with Western Medicine and the psychospiritual basis of disease. She earned a medical degree
from Cornell University and trained in Ayurveda at the
California College of Ayurveda and fuses her medical
and Ayurvedic expertise. Her private Ayurvedic practice in Long Beach centers on how Ayurveda can complement modern medicine.
For the past eight years, photography has been the focus of Emily's passion and creativity. Her work consisted of portraits and weddings until four years ago when
she discovered yoga and fell in love with it. Once she
became a teacher, the transition into a yoga photographer seemed the natural progression. With her camera,
she can capture the beauty of the pose and the spirit of
Janabai Owens-Amsden is the co-founder of Rawvolution, a raw, organic cafe and juicery in Santa Monica.
She is also co-author of the recently published book
The Rawvolution Continues. Janabai writes and lectures on nutrition, cleansing and wellness and is a
leader in green business. She is the mother of twin
boys and loves designing menus for them combining
raw, organic, whole foods, and superfoods to support

Caroline Jue picks up her copy of LA Yoga
