Where Do You Pick Up
“Yoga is not just about the
physical practice or being the
most flexible. Although the
asanas are important, the practice is about immersing yourself
into a place where you can feel
genuine inner peace and love.
Yoga has given me a deep and
sincere appreciation of the little
things I used to take for granted.
I no longer let outside stressors
take control of the happiness I
feel for myself or others. I love
myself and can see the perfection
in where I am at in my life.”
“We are all connected.
Everything you do has a ripple
effect and you never know
who, how or to what degree
you might influence and
affect others. Be mindful with
whatever you put out into
the world whether it be
thoughts, words, actions,
attitude or art.”
“In yoga class, I've been
inspired to go forward with
less fear of failure. As long
as I stay in the present, as
yoga has taught me to do,
then I can be prepared to
respond to whatever challenges
are handed to me.”
“For me, yoga is an ongoing,
unfolding, unyielding experience. It’s always showing me
something - something new,
real, true. It’s transformative.
Nearly every encounter I’ve
had with the practice, over the
course of almost 30 years, has
been an opportunity to move
my body, change my mind,
to shift my consciousness. It’s
the transformational nature of
the practice – its teachings, its
teachers - which inspires me.”
