Dr. Sarita Shrestha BAMS, MD (Ayurveda) has

Dr. Shresta has received awards and special
recognition as the first woman Ayurvedic physician

Coming together in practice and research
In September, The International Association of Yoga Therapists is offering
their ever-popular, informative, and inspiring conference bringing together
noted luminaries in the fields of Yoga and Ayurveda for four days.
Sessions will be covering current mental health research as it is related to
Yoga, Yoga in mental health treatment, pranayama for health and healing,
Yoga therapy and Ayurveda to support sound sleep, the power of sadhana
or personal practice, practices to strengthen digestion, professional
development, and a number of other topics given by fifty expert presenters.
On August 31, there will be a meeting of Yoga therapy schools before the
full conference. Participants will have the opportunity to come together
in Common Interest Communities, to take action in furthering the spread of
Yoga therapy in community and medical settings.
The conference will be held September 1-4 at
The Asilomar Conference Grounds in Monterey, California.
